Sustainable Procurement

Background

The Sustainable Procurement Topic Support Network was established in summer 2010 to help address and push forward socially, environmentally and economically responsible procurement within the FHE sector. This TSN is run in partnership with Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) and encourages the purchaser to look at both the direct and indirect effects of their products and services.

The formation of this TSN is of particular importance following the requirements of the Government’s Flexible Framework which helps institutions embed sustainability into their purchasing practice.
